Every blogger is writing today about the loss of Michael Jackson, the loss of Farrah Fawcett. I guess I am no different.
I guess what I share is that this reminds me of the passing of Lady Diana, Anna Nicole Smith ... the two that lived or were viewed as larger than life. I have been a person that loves music of all kinds. When I was coming into my own taste of music, the late 70's and the early 80's, I would collect my funds and go to the store to make a purchase of 45's. One of the first five singles I bought was by the Michael Jackson's "Shake Your Body Down to the Ground".
I later would be like every other person and purchase Thriller. I can say that I was not taken over by the Thriller craze. I did not dress like the video, nor did I find that the songs were moving me to eat-sleep-breath the artist. I did, however, recognize that he was captivating and had an immense following.
Over the years, he grew larger than life, than he changed his color, spawned a family and would be in a court of law for his youth-proclivities. I would fall out of the Michael Jackson fan club like so many others did. I, truthfully, gave up around the We are the World era when I was just burnt out on him.
His passing comes as an emotional surprise, but I don't think he had the ability to reclaim the top of the charts.
So without Bea Arthur, Farrah, Ed and now Michael ... the entertainment world has been hit hard from all angels.

Re: Only one word that says it all ...
But they are angels none the less---we will remember the laughs with Bea, the beauty of Farrah (inside and out), the laughter of Ed and the early music (which I loved) of Michael---and we will leave each of their ecentricities alone!
