The adventure of my weekend was just simply awesome! This is from a sculpture garden. It was the best of all worlds. The weather could not have been more perfect if I would have sculpted my own day. Amazing works of art - and vibrant blue skies.
My friend and I made our way through the city by foot most of the time, a few cabs every now and again, but Minneapolis is built for people to enjoy their city.

It was State Fair time there also ... and some people just have a hankering for corn! We did not make our way to the land of "chocolate bacon on a stick" or even "soup on a stick" but our cab driver at one point said ... it is fun to just go to see who has the biggest ass to strap on a counsel television set... Guess you are never too far from home!

We hit some of the most awesome museums in the world. We took in modern art, historical sh*t (well, we walked in and walked out), contemporary stuff plus classics! I was in awe and pure delight as I viewed some amazing sculptures. My friend shared some great background on artist or architecture design which made it even more enjoyable.

There was even an organic street market - just made you realize how vibrant a downtown can be. I loved to see the number of people just wondering around. Taking advantage of the history, the shopping, the mass pleasure one can get when they explore.
It also was a weekend of firsts ... like I had a bloody mary both Saturday morning and Sunday morning. I had an iced coffee as I leisure walked. I got a tad tipsy after three Minnesota Blizzard Martinis with my dinner. Followed by a drunk-dial to a supermodel. I did not have Melanie's phone number or I would have called that crazy bitch. So, thanks in part to my tour guide (aka friend) he helped to expose me to a few pretty cool experiences. In return, I am sure that I left a few memories ... like me taking his picture against his will. Hmm.
I have other pictures to share at some point, but this is a touch. We got in near midnight last night, my body is feeling all of its 40 years today ... We had amazing conversation, captured truly delightful scenes, snapped hundreds of pictures, ate casual dining to fine dining only to realize that it really is all about being around good natured, good people that really make for a wonderful vacation. I am blessed - I truly am ... I was glad I could share this weekend with a friend because it only made Minneapolis more enduring.
