Yesterday I stepped on a limb to try my first Fort Wayne Vegan experience at the Loving Cafe on Coldwater Road and found it to be a true adventure.

The restaurant has about a dozen tables, it is operated under the direction of volunteers and the premise follows the "supreme master" a view and philosophy I had not heard of until my visit. I was with friends as we all shared the one menu to decide what our food selections would be.

I ordered the zucchini cupcake with white frosting ... yum, truly tasted like something my grandmother would have made (less some stray dog hairs). My main entree was the Singapore Noodle - which had beef-like strips that tasted pretty decent actually. It had fresh tomatoes and peppers over a nice noodle that was not like spaghetti but had a bit of a kink in the strands. My drink was the most exciting part as all of the drinks were something that I had never heard of ... now mine was lycee - I do not know what that is and I did not ask, but it was tasty. I tried the coconut drink, that was chewy - as it had pulp in it. The dragonberry or something was a bit too much of an oddity to me.

This is what their website says about the place:

It was a great place to go, staff was friendly, it was green and clean.
