This week launches my return to visible board activity as today a press conference will announce the celebration of the ATF's 25th Anniversary in Fort Wayne. The Aids Task Force will have events monthly, year-round to bring awareness and partnerships through out the community. More information will follow!
Coming up tomorrow is the Riley Hospital Foundation's lunch at Sweetwater Sound. Another great cause helping our community and those who need assistance the most.
I think both causes that are listed help people who need an expertise that simple is not found through community corners and roundtable discussions. It is the work of trained specialist that make the world of difference. In some case it can mean the difference of life or death. I have been fortunate not to have dealt with either organization on a personal level but know of so many that have - and have amazing stories to share of hope and compassion.
I think as I move forward in my life, I strive to find a passion that will bring change. In my personal life, in my corporate life, I am taking on change in a dramatic fashion. Through deep thought and research I move forward one step at a time. It is the first time I have actually followed a strategic plan - helping others, making life truly better for those around me. I do feel an immense pressure to hit it right the first time. A stress that I can honestly say I have never felt before. I guess it is good but I notice that my wrinkles are becoming deeper and perhaps my hair much more grey, but in the end, it is what we can accomplish for others that will make us have greater moments personally.
I hope you find your own strategic plan and aim to change something - the way you work, the way you save money, the way you eat, the way you serve others around you ...
