This weekend is going to be a mystery destination weekend. Getting in the car at 8:00 a.m. and heading somewhere. The objective is to just get away for a quiet weekend. Low key and very economical. The hope is to capture some good, unique stuff on camera.
See, the goal in 2010 is to prepare for my first (and maybe only) art show. I would love to be able to showcase the work that I have amassed. It has been very therapeutic to do it and possibly someone may enjoy a Carbo original for themselves. I think my style is captured by saying, if you would normally have walked passed it and never looked twice, perhaps I did. Simple things, dull things, old things, special things.
With the words "north", "south", "east" and "west" scribed on tiny pieces of paper, one was drawn to disclose that the car is heading EAST. Luckily for GPS, I should eventually come back WEST and arrive safe and sound but one never knows if Doris is going to cooperate. Doris is my GPS voice. She sounds very proper and has high self-esteem. She has an attitude that huffs and says, "recalculating!" I also believe that Doris does not eat off of paper plates. This is my dark humor when I hear her, for some odd reason, I do say that sentence out loud. She is royalty!
Anyway, the temps should be near 40 today, so gloves and a hat will be required. Don't want to lose 99% of my body heat out of my balding head, now would I? Enjoy the weekend folks and I hope to be able to share something on Monday, until then, Doris, does not eat off of paper (pronounced pah'pur) plates.
