Music's biggest night - the Grammys!
Growing up Carbo, I used to love to take the pull out section of the paper and make my prediction as to whom I thought would walk away with the trophy. I thought it was so awesome to have the 45 that one best song, or the album that was named best of the year. I was always shocked when someone would win that I had thought had no talent, Paula Cole, or just won a boat load of awards like Christopher Cross.
So this year, I sat down to watch the awards hoping to be inspired by the music industry. Have to say that Beyonce put on a nice live performance. Pink was out of sight, but really, why was she wet and where did the water come from? Too much soda before the act.... then there is Taylor Swift. Poor dumb girl, I know she is selling records like they are golden tickets to Hollywood on American Idol, but seriously? When will the public take note that she can't find a note! How long can 15 minutes of fame, really last?
I love Stevie Nicks, but did she seem like even she was hoping for a PCP flashback to happen. At this point, I turned off the television. I could not watch anymore.
I find it so odd when they put two people together that in every day life they would not even talk and yet they are made to talk. It always feels like a rapist talking to his victim. As odd as most of felt, the show moved at a very fast clip, but the songs somehow got longer. Jamie Foxx's song went on for ten minutes and I call it a song, because I guess if you loop the same seven words it makes a song. All and all, I thought it was a sad night for the sad state of the musical union.

Re: Tune in ... even if not in tune ...
I just do not understand the whole Taylor Swift thing ... she has one note, and it's not a good one.
