No matter where you were today, you may have just heard me scream before my head exploded. I think I have reached the limit where road rage is just a turn signal away.

I think back, growing up Carbo as I did, driver's training advised us we always had to use our signal to change lanes. I further remember that I was informed that when making a left hand turn that if there was a lane to signal to go into it and use that lane to turn. This procedure is the same when turning right.

Did I miss something in the last twenty five years that we no longer need to use a turn signal or use the provided turn lane to make a turn? I am on West Jefferson, this road has two lanes in both directions in addition to full right side turning lane/berm. Well it is inevitable that when I am in the right lane the car in front of me will come to a near full stop to turn right without using the given lane. Nearly killing me because no one expects a car to be sitting on a 60 mile per hour highway!

Today, while on my way into the office the stupid lady in front of me a in a maroon van (I say this as if she may read this, but I doubt she can read) stopped dead in the road to turn left. There is a center lane with a big fricken yellow arrow painted on the ground. She sat there for minutes to yield on coming traffic. I nearly passed her in the left lane, but I figured she would probably turn into my car. I knew what I wanted to do was not right but what she was doing was pure and simple stupid.

Uggh, I could bite the head off a bat and I am afraid of bats ... learn to drive people! Seriously!

Re: Turn damn it!

As the driver of a maroon van, I apologize. I have no idea if it was me or not. But I do know I don't drive well, so in case it was, here is an apology. I am also blonde, which contributes to my issues. . .
