Last night, I opened the house for the first time for my friends to see ... Clyde was the first to welcome everyone ... but not the last! Twenty five people joined in on the celebration as we planned for the big Holiday Open bash ... The photos here are  not taken by the professional photographer, just through my lens, but nonetheless, we had fun for four hours!

The food was just a variety of different tastes - chicken pot pie, blueberry baked apples, chocolate brownie heath-mallow dessert, mozzarella cheese and tomatoes, shrimp cocktail, jambalaya, meatballs, peanut butter and jelly cookies,  and an assortment of drinks.

We shared stories about TWIN beds - don't even get me started on this topic. We talked about Facebook and how we can lose weight through sleeping (not on a twin bed we won't), have babies with Tom Cruise look-a-likes through turkey basting and how we are linked to people we do not know that could be our new bestest friends BFF! Even started a new biter singles dinner club that will meet weekly until we are all matched with someone.

This helps because I have been pondering the idea of a roommate again. I know, I know ... I am not fit to co-habitat with others ... could not even give a room away in the Haunted Hamlets, but alas, I really would enjoy the sound of someone in the house.

In the formal sitting room, people did just that ... they sat in the "Oprah Set" and had a grand time. As you can see on the wall, the most prized piece of art in this room is the original photo I took from Venice which went through the hands of Joel Gabbard to become the talk of the party. It really is a captivating expression of art and I am beside myself of great cheer as this adds to the home remodel.

As for the day, I got a lot accomplished. I went to Rotary for the first time in five months and I am glad I did. I ran into an old friend who I asked for help and not only got it, but got it within hours. I have been on a mission to do something, change something, alter something from happening and I think I got that accomplished. I sigh ... a bittersweet moment.

Re: Come on in ...

First, love the artwork. Beautiful. Beyond that, I'm not sure if I'm more envious of the chocolate heath mallow brownie things or the coolest sitting room. I absolutely love THAT space. I will steal the idea....someday....=)

Another roommate? How many ways can you spell SCREENING PROCESS?
