The dog really loved Kim almost as much as the slim-furred critter! Poor Kim!
Last evening was the weekly dinner club, on location at Jamie's party home. It was a great time as we shared an outstanding Mexican meal and three bottles of margaritas and Mexican mudslides. Of course the pre-mixed drinks needed to be heightened and thanks to our "jazz hands" friend, he made certain that our drinks were strong enough not to toss too many red flags during tribal council.
So, as to catch up the newest reader to the blog -because we are at four readers after two and one half years of writing - every Wednesday six people gather for a dinner at a home. We are all single people who are working toward making better choices in life - work, friends and romance. After the meal, we gather in a central spot, with dessert, milk, and three flags. We delineate between bad (red) caution (yellow) safe (white) as our friends all go around and share the cross road choices we are about to (or already) make.
Last night, as we sat around with our flags in hand ... it was a very calm night. One big difference was the drink of choice was Tequila vs wine. I can tell you that after three drinks I kinda didn't care what choices any of us made as long as those hot baked cookies with butter cream icing kept coming out of the oven. I remember at one point walking into Jamie's kitchen and said I have to cut myself off ... because the milk and Tequila are not mixing well.
The evening was about four hours and we all had something noteworthy to discuss (except for me - I had one sentence that did not even garnish a flag ... my relationship hit the skids). However, this has become so wonderful to share a home cooked meal in a house with people ... I really am digging my dinner club friends.
Coming up - THE supermodel and myself are heading to Michigan on Saturday to see our Michigan rivals play!
